Police alert Kaduna residents ahead of two-day shooting drill

The Kaduna State Police Command has cautioned residents to steer clear of designated areas in the metropolis as a two-day shooting range exercise for recruits begins on Tuesday.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, stated in the public release that the exercise was to be held at the Amanan Kasuwa Shooting Range Ground along Mararaban Jos – Panbegua Road in Igabi Local Government Area.

He cautioned residents and commuters to avoid the vicinity during the training, assuring that adequate safety measures have been put in place.

“The public should not be alarmed by the sounds of gunfire during the exercise. The command has ensured strict safety protocols,” Hassan stated.


He added that the training is aimed at sharpening the operational readiness of police personnel to meet future security challenges.
