The Department of State Services, DSS, has arrested two suspects in Kaduna for allegedly operating a fake recruitment syndicate in the name of the Service.
The suspects, identified as Aliyu Ibrahim and one accomplice, were apprehended following intelligence that exposed their activities.
Preliminary investigation indicated that between 250 and 350 persons may have fallen victim after being promised employment in the DSS.
A security source said the suspects are in custody while efforts are ongoing to track other members of the syndicate.
The Service cautioned Nigerians to beware of fraudulent recruitment offers, stressing that all DSS employment exercises are announced only through official channels.
It urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.
